Pacers come up big in sweep of North Georgia

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken men's basketball team garnered a 90-82 road win at North Georgia Monday evening.

The Pacers are now 8-4 overall, including a 2-3 record in Peach Belt Conference play. The Nighthawks fall to 8-6 overall and 4-1 against conference competition.

Leading the way for head coach Mark Vanderslice's team was paced by Jalin Barnes' 24 points. Mark Matthews added a double-double with 21 points and 16 rebounds while Christian Nobles contributed 14 points.

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The University of South Carolina Aiken women's basketball team picked up its third straight victory by posting a 66-62 win at No. 21 North Georgia Monday evening.

The Pacers improve to 7-7 overall and 3-2 in PBC play. The Nighthawks fall to 12-2 on the year and 4-1 against conference competition.

Kwajelin Farrar paced head coach Mark Miller's team by tallying 12 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Rachelle Aupont added 11 points while Kate Duff hit double figures with 10 markers.

Emily Waters posted nine points and seven rebounds while Jasmine Coach registered eight points. Alexis Ware garnered seven points.

Carly Gilreath dished out a game-high six assists.
