Keshun Sherrill named Peach Belt Player of the Week

AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University men’s basketball senior Keshun Sherrill was named the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week on Monday afternoon for the second time this season and the fourth time of his career.

Keshun Sherrill became the second all-time leading scorer in Peach Belt Conference and Augusta University history last week, averaging 21 points per game in three-straight wins.

The senior from Cleveland, N.C., began with 18 points at UNC Pembroke, then scored 22 against Georgia Southwestern and 23 against Montevallo at home in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

Sherrill shot 43 percent from the field last week and an eye-popping 92.3 (24-of-26) from the free throw line. He added 2.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Sherrill leads the PBC and is ranked fourth in the nation with 24.9 ppg; he also leads the league in three-pointers made, free throws made and free throw percentage.

The PBC Player of the Week award is the second for Sherrill this season and the fourth of his collegiate career.
