UPDATE | Son of Columbia County Commissioner arrested in connection to Walgreens robbery

Douglas Ronald Duncan III (right) was arrested in connection to a burglary at Walgreens on Furys Ferry Road one day after Nicholas Alan Robinson (left) was arrested.

MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Another man has been charged in connection to the attempted robbery of Walgreens on Furys Ferry Road on Friday, March 11.

Investigators arrested Douglas Ronald Duncan III, 25, for criminal attempt to commit a felony. He is being held on $10,100 bond.

Major Steve Morris with Columbia County Sheriff's Office confirms that Duncan was driving the truck that brought Nicholas Alan Robinson to the store. News 12 NBC 26 has confirmed that Duncan is the son of Columbia County Commissioner Doug Duncan.

Douglas Duncan was no longer listed in the Columbia County jail as of 4 p.m. Thursday.

MARTINEZ, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- A man has been arrested for aggravated assault and battery and weapons possession charges after he reportedly attempted to rob a Walgreens in Martinez for the second time.

Investigators said Nicholas Alan Robinson, 28, went into the Walgreens on Furys Ferry Road around 8:42 p.m. on March 11. The clerk walked from the back to the front of the store when Robinson entered. Robinson was wearing a black hooded jacket, he kept his head down and started walking toward her. He then reportedly pulled out a knife and told the clerk to "come here." The clerk screamed and ran into the back room, and the manager called the police.

Robinson previously came into the same store back in January, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. He reportedly put a knife to her back and demanded she take him to the register and open it. She complied and he took the money and left.

Robinson faces two charges of aggravated assault, two charges of knife possession during a crime, armed robbery, criminal attempt to commit a felony, and kidnapping charges.

COLUMBIA COUNTY, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Columbia County deputies are looking for a man, accused of robbing the Walgreen on Fury's Ferry Road with a knife.

According to a news release, the man robbed the store on Jan. 7 between 7:16 p.m. and 7:19 p.m. It states he walked up behind a female employee and placed a knife to the front of her throat.

He told the employee to walk with him to the front cash register to get the money, which she complied and opened the cash drawer for him, according to the release. Investigators said the suspect was seen leaving in a small black car.

COLUMBIA COUNTY (WRDW/WAGT) -- Columbia County deputies looking for a robber armed with a knife.

According to Maj. Steve Morris, with the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, a man walked into the Walgreen's at the intersection of Evans To Locks Road and Furys Ferry Road and demanded money.

Maj. Morris said the thief was armed with a knife.

The robbery happened just before 7:25 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said the manager gave the man money from the cash register.
