Overnight armed robbery at University of South Carolina - Columbia

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) -- University of South Carolina Police have launched an investigation into an armed robbery that happened overnight.

According to Carolina Alert, at around 12:45 a.m., three black men ages 18 to 24 committed an armed robber at the intersection of Blossom and Sumter Street. One suspect is believed to have been wearing a blue shirt, another wearing a green shirt.

They allegedly robbed a person and left towards the Blossom Street parking garage.

USC tweeted around 1:13 a.m. that the suspects are no longer believed to be in the area.

According to USC's website, the university is operating under normal conditions.
